China is a manufacturing gigantic statue. Britons are surrounded by products sporting the fiction 'Made in China'. Gok Wan returns to his hereditary home to explore the largely undiscovered world of Chinese mass production, joining the people working in the factories that give the West. He visits the hamlet his father grew up in in spite of the first time as part of a take a trip of discovery round a country that after this produces one in every four individual-made objects on the planet. Gok goes to 'Jeans Town', 'Bra Town', the manufacturing establishment that makes London cabs, and 'Thames Town', while well as to ultra-modern Shanghai, whither he meets a stylist pushing the boundaries in Chinese manner.
